Little known outside Spain, but with a blossoming reputation amongst connoisseurs of that country's wines, Denominacion de Origen Bullas is the source of Castillo Real Monastrell. The producer is Bodegas Rosario, the leading light in this tiny southern region where the fantastic Monastrell grape really excels. The climate is ever so slightly cooler than other southern areas, and this combined with the unique soils results in a red wine that is full of fruit, but elegant and balanced with good acidity.
