Anciano
In the timeless Spanish winemaking tradition, Anciano is matured for at least five years to guarantee the perfect balance between ripe Tempranillo fruit and mellow oak character. The wine is classified as a Reserva, but we also felt wine drinkers would appreciate the term "Aged 5 Years" on the front label to help them recognise the maturity of the wine. It is 100% Tempranillo from the 2004 vintage in Valdepenas. Winemaker, Norrel Robertson MW, was responsible for selecting this particular wine and the packaging is very traditional, including the gold wire that is often associated with quality Spanish wines.
