| | 3. How do I get more information about a wine?
If it's a technical enquiry about winemaking, check the Fiches Techniques in Trade Resources that have comprehensive information about each of our wines. Many of our supply partners have their own websites and links are included where possible. | | ^ Top |
| | 4. How much do I need to pay for a decent bottle of wine?
Don't expect anything to write home about for less than £4! Dry goods (bottles, labels, cartons, capsule, etc...) all add up and there is a transport cost from the winery to the shelf. Of course there is the double-whammy of Duty and VAT as well as margins for retailer and distributor - we have to make a living too! At around the £5 mark, you will get something quite acceptable and correct, but can sometimes be a bit dull. It's really worth spending a little more to get a wine with some character, individuality and finesse. £6-£8 is where wine starts to get interesting, so we would recommend more quality and less quantity is the way to go! | | ^ Top |
| | 5. What are GAW's company registration details?
Guy Anderson Wines is registered in England & Wales at York House, 6 Coldharbour Business Park, Sherborne, Dorset DT9 4JW. Registration no. 3866000. VAT No. GB641345262

| | 6. What do all these wine buzz-words mean?
There is a whole language associated with wine that can be somewhat daunting if you haven't spent a lifetime studying the subject! Rather than explain everything here, we suggest you visit www.lovethatwine.co.uk/glossary - it's a great website for information and you can also post glowing reviews of our wines there if you like! | | ^ Top |
| | 7. What does Denominacion de Origen mean?
A Denominacion de Origen (D.O.) is a geographical region within Spain like Rueda, Jumilla or Campo de Borja where quality wines are produced and regulated by the local authorities.
