VITICULTURE / VINIFICATION
Aged for five years in the cellars of Bodegas Navalon in the small DO Valdepeñas, located in the heart of Spain. Bodegas Navalon has been the passion of the same local family for several generations. Anciano Aged 5 Years is a mellow, smooth wine thanks to the quality of the fruit and long ageing in barrel.
Tempranillo grapes were hand-picked from 30 year-old vines in stony Valdepeñas vineyards composed of clayey lime soils. The climate is continental, with cold winters and hot, dry summers. Fermentation took place at controlled temperatures (below 28º C) in stainless steel tanks. The wine was then matured for at least twelve months in French and American oak barriques. This wine is naturally fined by gravity and is therefore suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
