Description
Campo de Borja rose is a great wine style for any ocassion that demands simple, uncomplicated pleasure. It is dry, but not too dry, and is brimming with fruit so that it can be enjoyed with or without food. ZaZa is a bright raspberry pink with intense aromas of fruits, cinnamon and vanilla. It is a really sumptuous wine with more character than you might expect from a rose.
Winemaking
The soils in the vineyards of Santo Cristo in Campo de Borja are mainly chalky with clay under soft, fertile topsoil. The vines are mature (average age 25 years) and the grapes were harvested in the second week of October 2007 when the weather was perfect. The Garnacha grapes were picked at optimum ripeness. At the bodega traditional free-run methods are used in production of the wine which was fermented at low temperatures (12 degrees) in stainless steel tanks.
