TASTING NOTES

Ruby-red with purple hues, this Chianti has a typically intensely fruity nose with hints of violets. The wine is dry and smooth, with bright, zesty notes of cherry and berry fruit.

FOOD MATCH

Ideal with veal, pastas, especially those with tomato-based sauces and cheeses.

VITICULTURE / VINIFICATION

From rolling Tuscan vineyards with vines planted around 15 years ago, harvest is by hand mid-September to mid-October. After destemming, the grapes are crushed and the juice fermented for 10 days in stainless steel at a controlled 24-26°C. The wine completes a malolactic fermentation and has some lees contact to add to aromas and richness of flavours.
